Competition Rules
Format
The competition is 11-a-side and is played across Divisions A, B and Senior (S).
Fixtures are entered by the Organising Committee; the number of rounds is not fixed in the system.
Points
A win earns 3 points, a draw 1 point, and a loss 0 points.
League ranking
Teams are ranked by: points, then fewer red cards, then fewer yellow cards, then head-to-head points among the tied teams, then a shared position.
Goal difference is displayed for information only. It is never used to decide the ranking.
Cards and suspensions
Yellow and red cards are recorded by the referee or the Match Supervisor and published with the match record.
Suspensions are decided and applied by the Organising Committee. The system flags players who reach three yellow cards or one red card as an advisory only.
Own goals
An own goal counts towards the opposing team’s score and is recorded against the player who scored it. Own goals are excluded from the top-scorers list.
Walkovers
If a team cannot field a side, the Organising Committee may record a walkover result directly. The default walkover score is 2–0 and no individual goals or cards are recorded.
Match-day procedure
Each fixture has four private links: home captain, away captain, referee, and Match Supervisor.
Captains select their squad and shirt numbers, then confirm. Once confirmed, the captain can no longer edit the lineup; officials may still adjust it.
The referee and the Match Supervisor have identical powers: they record goals, own goals and cards live, and either of them can confirm the final result.
The match page opens three hours before kickoff. Confirming the result locks every link for that fixture immediately.
Publishing results
Confirmed results appear on the public site on the day after the match (Hong Kong time).
Corrections
The Organising Committee may correct a confirmed result. Every correction requires a reason and is recorded in the audit log.
